Hatha Yoga Testimonials
Your class has to be something special for my husband to want to keep going. He usually wants to drop out the first chance he gets when it comes to yoga but I think you have made him feel comfortable in class and also made him realize you really don't have to be flexible to do yoga. So thank you for that. That is something that no other yoga instructor has been able to do.
Tests have shown for me that my bone density has increased at an amazing rate since I started yoga. I don't know if it is coincidence. There may be other factors to consider, but my results have moved from osteopenia stage to normal range in my hip. With the greatest improvement in my spine, where the numbers have moved from osteoporosis to osteopenia (pre-osteo). My doctor described my results as stark improvement! I believe that yoga is the key.
Prenatal Yoga Testimonials
Thanks once again for the amazing pre-natal yoga classes and all your wonderful information. I feel that your classes prepared me mentally and physically so well for how we ideally imagined things would go in labour and delivery - I feel so, so blessed. I plan to highly recommend your classes to any pregnant friends in the future as I really feel it was critical in preparing me for the amazing experience of childbirth. THANK YOU!
I just wanted to let you know I had a beautiful delivery this week--one of your clients from prenatal yoga. Had a beautiful drug-free, natural labor with a first time mom. What a wonderful experience! She spoke of you many times and said many of your phrases were running through her head during the labor. She was just "in the zone".
I just wanted to thank you for all of the helpful information you shared in the prenatal yoga sessions I attended. My baby was born at home on Sunday night and it couldn't have been a more amazing experience. The breathing techniques you taught us, the knowledge you shared about staying relaxed and just letting it happen allowed for a short 7 hours of active labour (not too shabby for a first-timer).
I was able to have peaceful, natural birthing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for all your wisdom and positive encouragement in class. Baby was in a great position from all the prenatal yoga. The breathing techniques and relaxation you taught us were invaluable. I did exactly what you said, "relax and and let your body do what it is meant to do".
You don't know this, and I didn't know at the time, but you were actually guiding me through the initial stages of labour at last Monday night's yoga class. I was feeling small contractions during class and assumed it was the same Braxton-Hicks I'd been feeling for weeks. I went home from class feeling relaxed then just after midnight my water broke. An hour later we were at the hospital and at 9am baby was in my arms. I progressed really quickly for a first timer and I'm sure it was because baby was in a great position. It certainly wasn't discomfort-free and I lost focus at times but we made it through using many of the techniques and visualizations you taught in class - especially last week's tense vs relaxed illustration.
I just wanted to write you to tell you how much I enjoyed the Prenatal yoga class last night. I slept better last night than I did in weeks and I felt great after the class. I'm so glad I signed up!
Morgan was born on Monday July 6 after a quick and relatively easy labour. He was my second baby to arrive on yoga day! The yoga "bee" breaths got me through transition as I focused on relaxing my muscles and letting my body do what it needed to do. I arrived at the hospital around 9am and had a baby boy in my arms before 11!
Thanks for all your help - we had a healthy baby girl this morning at 7:52am. The breathing and postures really helped - no medication and quick delivery!
I just wanted to say thank you for absolutely everything that I learned from you during the winter session. My baby was born very early this morning and very quickly! It only took about three hours from the time my water broke at home until she was delivered. I've been continuing the postures from class on my own during the last four weeks and I know it made everything easy and smooth for me.
In about an hour, I went from four centimeters to fully dilated (no epidural for me!) and then I only had to push for about 40 minutes. The nurses and doctors couldn't believe how smoothly everything went on my first baby - especially naturally! But all during labor, I kept remembering things that you said during all the classes and especially during the relaxation portion of each class. I controlled my breath (after a few panicked attempts!) and just went with the flow and fully trusted my body. I relaxed with the contractions and Sadie glided out so effortlessly in the perfect birthing position. The doctors thought that I had a birth plan because I took total control over when I would push and the strength I would use, and the room, but I didn't! My "birth plan" was to repeat over and over in my head everything I learned from you and to reassure my nervous system that everything really was okay and my body does know how to give birth.
It was such a wonderful experience and I can't thank you enough! I'll definitely see you next time, Bobby! Thank you again.
Yoga Teacher Training Testimonials
I can honestly without hesitation say that doing the yoga teacher training was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only to be able to teach but for the insights and wisdoms of yoga I had never heard before. These teachings have truly changed my life. I’m so happy to have learned so much and to be able to pass some fraction of this to other people.
I debated taking this yoga training session for over a year. I just didn’t feel I was “enough”... Maybe some of you felt this way? I wasn’t “flexible enough”, ” meditative enough”, ” spiritual enough”, ” thin enough”... Just generally not “yoga enough”. But I took a leap of faith and grabbed the opportunity to grow and am very glad that I did. Bobby and Meaghan were welcoming and supportive. They helped me, and I am sure all of us, to see that each of us has something special we can offer, that maybe someone else can’t. Our life experiences have shaped who we are and will help us each bring something valuable to share with our students.
I learned that there is no perfect yoga pose, or that I have to be able to do every yoga pose perfectly, to share the love of yoga with others. I guess they helped me let go of ego and judgement of myself and others. I learned that I am enough just the way I am. I deeply value our weekends together and do miss them.
I was a little nervous beginning Yoga Teacher Training. My body was in its worst shape in my life and I wondered if I would be suitable to complete teacher training. However, I also knew that yoga was so much more than what I was capable of physically… I just didn’t know enough about it and wanted to know more. I entered into the program mostly for personal development reasons. I wanted to confidently say, “I’m a yogi,” and understand what that really meant. I got a lot more than I bargained for. Meaghan and Bobby offer an incredible depth of knowledge, compassion, and excellence in teaching. They opened my mind through practice, teachings, readings, assignments, discussions, and encouragement to do our own personal exploration of yoga. The personal experiences that Meaghan and Bobby bring have not only created an outstanding program, but have made it interesting and fun. Their ability to lead created not only an amazing class, but a cohesive community of yogis. I gained a much deeper understanding of yoga – not only how to teach the poses, but all aspects of yoga to bring mind, body, and spirit together – and I feel confident teaching classes after taking this program. I have definitely deepened my personal practice and knowledge… and I am a yoga teacher. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in deepening their own personal yoga practice, understanding yoga as a tool for spiritual development, or teaching yoga.
